A special event on 2nd generation and advanced biofuels will be held this wednesday by the Leaders of Sustainable Biofuels at the European Parliament in Brussels.
The event will include a welcome by Amalia Sartori, Chair of the Committee on Industry,
Research and Energy, an introduction by prof. David Chiaramonti, technical secretariat of the LSB initiative and a keynote speech by Guido Ghisolfi, CEO of Chemtex and Chairman of the Leaders Sustainable Biofuels.
The following roundtable discussion on the future perspectives of 2G and advanced biofuels will also feature speeches by Jonathon Counsell, British Airways Head of Environment; Marko Janhunen, UPM Vice President, Public Affairs & Corporate Responsibility; Max Jonsson, Chemrec AB CEO; Niels Henriksen, DONG Energy Chief Technology Officer; Andre Koltermann, Clariant Senior Vice President / Biotech & Renewables Center; René Venendaal, BTG CEO.
A panel discussion with representatives of the European Commission DG Research, DG Energy, DG Agri and JRC will also be organized and followed by a session for open discussion, questions and answers.
